At maib, we are strengthening our IT delivery organization and looking for a Head of Project Management Team, a strategic leader who will shape the project management practice across the bank, drive end-to-end delivery of critical initiatives and lead a high-performing team of Project Managers.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong execution with strategic thinking, understands how to translate business priorities into technical delivery, and knows how to lead people, optimize processes, and ensure predictable, high-quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

• Define and drive the project management strategy aligned with maib business objectives;
• Ensure consistent and transparent delivery across the project portfolio by setting standards, delivery frameworks and governance;
• Take ownership of delivery excellence: scope, timelines, quality, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder alignment;
• Act as the main liaison between business stakeholders, IT delivery teams and key project members;
• Facilitate alignment and collaboration across teams by ensuring clarity of requirements, priorities, risks and changes;
• Maintain strong stakeholder management and communication, ensuring visibility of progress and delivery decisions;
• Oversee the full project lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure;
• Monitor execution progress, proactively remove blockers, and ensure successful, on-time delivery of key initiatives.
• Lead, mentor and develop the Project Management Team, ensuring capability growth, engagement and high performance;
• Set goals, evaluate performance, provide feedback and support career development for team members;
• Build a strong delivery culture focused on accountability, ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong technical or business background and 3 - 5 years of experience in IT project management, tracking and reporting progress;
• Proven experience with Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence);
• Structured, highly organized, decisive and focused on results;
• Strong leadership and people management skills;
• Excellent communication, open-minded, proactive and self-driven.
