Great opportunity for farmers. They have the opportunity to recover some of the money they invested in their business in the form of subsidies. The Government has announced an excise duty subsidy for fuel used in agricultural work.
In the first stage, applications can be placed for diesel purchased between November 16, 2022 and June 29, 2023. After that, until the end of September, applications for the excise subsidy can be submitted for fuel purchased between June 30 and September 30, 2023.
Applications can be submitted until July 31, to the Agricultural Intervention and Payments Agency.
How much are the subsidies?
Micro, small and medium producers - 100%
- 3248 MDL/tonne in 2023
- 2980 MDL/tonne in 2022
Macro producers - 30%
- 974.4 MDL/tonne in 2023
- 894 MDL/tonne in 2022
