What data is to be updated?

You need to update your identification data at maib, if:

  1. you have changed your name or surname
  2. you made a new identity card
  3. you have changed your home address/residence
  4. you have changed your phone number or email address
  5. you changed your job/occupation
  6. you obtain income from other sources than those previously declared to the bank
  7. you intend to carry out new types of transactions/operations other than those previously declared at maib
  8. the purpose and nature of the relationship with maib have changed.

 

When do you need to update your data?
 

  • Even if nothing has changed, personal data must be confirmed periodically. The update will be done at the time expressly communicated by maib via an SMS.
  • Whenever there have been changes to the previously provided personal data.

 

What documents are required?

When you come to the branch, make sure you have your ID.

 

What happens if you don’t update your data?

The only reason we want to have your data updated is to comply with the legal framework in the field of preventing money laundering and terrorist financing and to ensure the safety of your transactions. This way, we protect bona fide customers and maintain a healthy business environment.

If you do not update your data, the bank will do so on its own, accessing credible sources available to comply with its legal obligation to monitor the business relationship continuously.
