CEB (Emergency Response and Support to SME)


Maib responds promptly to business needs during a pandemic. To develop the business sector and to create and maintain viable jobs, you can now apply for financing under ‘Emergency response to COVID-19 and support for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises’ program. The Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) supports the project.

Financing is provided to entrepreneurs for the purpose of:

  • creating and maintaining viable permanent or seasonal jobs;
  • supporting investments in productive fixed assets;
  • ensuring the working capital needs for maintaining the activity.


  • for an investment project is up to EUR 600,000
  • for current expenditure up to EUR 300 000.

An entrepreneur may apply for funding for several projects, but the total amount awarded will not exceed EUR 2 000 000.



  • for investment projects up to 6 years, with a grace period of 24 months
  • for increasing the working capital up to 4 years, with a grace period of 12 months.

The project includes multiple benefits, including an interest rate of 0% to 10% of the loan amount requested from the bank.

The project funds micro, small and medium-sized enterprises carrying out craft activities or small family enterprises engaged in economic activities affected by the pandemic crisis.

Beneficiaries of the financing can be both newly created and existing enterprises
