Competitiveness Improvement Project (CIP II)


Maib supports business development and relaunches the Competitiveness Improvement Project (CAP II), intended for enterprises with export activities related to agriculture and in non-agricultural production activities, which have been operating in the business environment for at least 2 years.


  • direct exports carried out throughout the country (including in Balti and Chisinau)
  • exports related to activities in agriculture, processing of agricultural products, production of goods and services (except consulting services), which will be directly or indirectly related to the generation of export earnings.


  • investment projects - up to USD 800 thousand (which may include up to 40% working capital)
  • independent working capital and raw material is the equivalent of USD 500 thousand
  • maximum total amount for a beneficiary is the equivalent of 800 thousand USD


  • up to 8 years for investment sub-projects (which may include up to 40% working capital)
  • up to 4 years for sub-loans for independent working capital.


  • applying ‘Zero’ VAT rate on imports and local deliveries;
  • exemption from payment of customs duties, customs procedures, excise duties;
  • grace period
