On September 30, 2022, the "Fintech Moldova Conference" was held at Tekwill, organized by Fintech Moldova and supported by maib and Mastercard, a major event for companies and start-ups from the Republic of Moldova and abroad in the financial field that want to develop by implementing financial technologies.
For the second consecutive year, maib joined this event, being in an extensive process of transformation and digitization, implementing new trends in everything related to banking and a new customer-centric strategy.

The financial consultant Macar Stoianov participated as a speaker on behalf of maib. Macar spoke about how digitalization and automation have impacted all strategic sectors, namely the digitalization of financial services within maib, the evolution of the banking system in the Republic of Moldova in this field and the strategic objectives that maib focuses on in this regard.
The maib First Deputy Chairwoman of the Management Board, Aliona Stratan, discussed in the Panel "The evolution of digital banking in Moldova and in the region" the main obstacles that banks encounter when it comes to the digitization of processes, products and services, the importance of the right mentality of the whole team along the way, emphasizing the vital role that uniqueness plays in positioning oneself as a leader in the banking market.

The event was attended by outstanding companies in the field, such as QOOBISS, DAAC digital, AC-Technologies, Credius, Fintech OS, SIBS Romania, and Salt Edge, as well as representatives of the National Bank of Moldova, USAID Moldova, UNDP Moldova, Illinois Institute of Technology, as well as ATIC.

Fintech Accelerator 2022 was also launched during the event, an intensive program that will take place between October and December, offering participants the opportunity to collaborate with companies already on the market, to jointly develop products and services necessary for the Fintech sector, being supported of maib and Mastercard.
