Maib supports the national positive parenting program for working parents, launched by UNICEF

In the month of education, maib joined the national positive parenting program for working parents, launched by UNICEF in collaboration with the private sector through the Business Advisory Board platform. Around 40 maib employees participated in the first informational session focused on early childhood development (ages 0–7 years). The event took place at maib park, with the bank participating as a member of the Business Advisory Board, supporting UNICEF initiatives aimed at the well-being of every child.

Maha Damaj, the UNICEF Country Representative in the Republic of Moldova stated:

"Companies are not just workplaces—they are true communities where parents spend a large part of their lives. When the private sector adopts family-friendly policies—such as flexible programs, parental leave, or support for childcare—the benefits are felt by both employees and employers. Through these initiatives, we are investing together in the well-being of children and the future of our society."

Doina Fetco, Marketing Director at maib emphasized:

"We believe that early education and family support are a shared responsibility—of schools, the state, and the private sector alike. At maib, September is the Month of Education, a time when we highlight initiatives that support parents and children. Hosting the launch of UNICEF’s Positive Parenting program is part of this mission: contributing to the development of balanced and confident generations. For us, every act of support for parents is an investment in the future of children and the community."

Alongside experts in pediatrics and psychology, participants at the event discussed topics such as the foundations of child health and development, the importance of routines in early childhood, medical check-ups and vaccinations, the impact of technology on children’s socio-emotional development, the role of outdoor play, managing tantrums, and more.

Parents attending the informational session noted that such discussions provide a valuable opportunity for them, and they plan to implement the information received in practice, hoping it will bring more joy and harmony to their children’s lives.

UNICEF representatives also introduced the Bebbo app, a valuable resource for parents offering practical and free information on health, nutrition, play, early education, and vaccinations.

In the coming period, similar events will be organized in multiple districts across the country, ensuring that more parents have access to resources and support tailored to their needs.

At maib, September is all about children and education. This month, we are supporting wonderful events—from the participation of little ones in the Kids Run at the Chisinau Marathon by maib | Mastercard 2025, to the distribution of 100 copies of the ABC-Gift of Equality in schools, and the launch of the 4th edition of the Student Lab workshops. And we’re not stopping there.
