Moldova's soul - at maib park. Discover the exhibition "Soul of Moldova", opened at maib headquarters

It is said that a nation's culture lives in the souls of its people, and the "Soul of Moldova" exhibition brings these elements together, creating an atmospheric, soulful and traditional experience for maib park visitors.

Maib has always aimed to promote local culture, young talent and innovation while keeping the focus on rediscovering and reinventing the artistic heritage that underpins everything we are today. Thus, maib park hosts the first exhibition opened on the bank's premises, entitled "Soul of Moldova", which reminds us of our origins through art in an ethnic style.

Iulia Bogușevschi, Head of Corporate Communication Band:
"At maib park, we have dedicated a special space where art and banking create an exceptional symbiosis. In the mezzanine area, we will regularly host various artists' exhibitions to inspire the public and give art people another platform to present their artworks. It's our way of saying "thank you" to the artists with a muse on their temples. I am grateful to Victoria Peev and Oxana Munteanu, with the Kasandruta brand, who have chosen maib to exhibit their creations inspired by our centuries-old traditions."

"Soul of Moldova" is about people, nostalgia, and the traditions carefully transmitted to us from generation to generation. The exhibition rediscovers them using technology to help visitors feel the message conveyed by the artists even more profoundly.

So, here are the five sculptures and installations you have the opportunity to see at maib park:

  1.  Meditation installation - "Millstone (Piatră de Moară)" by Victoria Peev.

The millstone is a panel inspired by people's lives and experiences, grinding like wheat. To fully feel the installation experience, you need to turn on your headphones and let yourself be overwhelmed by the connection to our roots. The sound universe was created by Valentin Lindo Strishkov and voiced by Oxana Munteanu.

  1. "The Little Ewe (Miorița)" sculpture - Visual interpretation of the pastoral ballad The Little Ewe by artist Victoria Peev, accompanied by the penetrating voice of actor Gheorghe Gușan

In this version, Miorița is in love with the shepherd boy and dreams of becoming a girl, and the sculpture represents the moment of transformation.
"Miorița's Dress" by Kasandruta tells a story older than time. According to the authors, the creation has been imbued with the energy of the sunflower and wheat fields and offers an all-new experience.

  1. “Embrace (Îmbrățișare)” vase by Victoria Peev.
  2. The “Thoughts (Gânduri)” sculpture by Victoria Peev represents  the artist's state in the process of creation, who is embraced by countless thoughts and ideas.
  3. “Eternal bond (Legătură eternă)” dress by Kasandruta.

The "Soul of Moldova" exhibition is the result of a unique collaboration between Victoria Peev and the Kasandruta brand and can be visited at maib park.
