Maib and Mastercard expand the “Cash la casă” cash withdrawal experience across the Avante network

How the “Cash la casă” service works

When paying for purchases with a Mastercard card issued by maib - either physical or digital - customers can request a cash withdrawal within the same transaction. The service is also available for payments made via Apple Pay and Google Pay, addressing the preferences of customers who rely on digital payment solutions.

Compliance and regulatory framework

The service is implemented in full compliance with the applicable legal framework, including:

• Government Decision No. 141/2019 on the use of cash register and control equipment;
• Law No. 845/1992 on entrepreneurship and enterprises, which allows cash withdrawals of up to MDL 1,000 per transaction and up to MDL 100,000 per month.

Expanding innovative solutions for businesses

The “Cash la casă” service was initially launched successfully at the Vento fuel station and has now been extended to the Avante network. We continue to scale the solution and onboard new merchants to this innovative service.
