Announcement regarding changes in interest rates on mortgage loans in foreign currency

From July 1, 2026, following the evolution of the international reference indices EURIBOR 6M and SOFR, the interest rate on mortgage loans in foreign currency granted by maib to individuals will modify.

From July 1 to December 31, 2026, the value of the reference index will be:

• 2.52% for loans in EUR;
• 3.65% for loans in USD.

You can find out the new interest rate with a simple calculation:

Interest rate = reference index (see above, depending on the loan currency) + bank margin (as stated in your loan agreement).

From July 6, 2026, the new loan repayment schedule will be available at maib branches and/or in the maibank mobile app.
