A new functionality available at maib ATMs. Maib customers can withdraw cash from ATMs using their smartphone or smartwatch via Apple Wallet, Google Wallet or Garmin electronic wallets.
Customers who have added maib cards to one of the three wallets and have a compatible mobile phone have access to this service. Thus, the physical card is no longer necessary to withdraw cash.
How does it work?
- Find the nearest ATM equiped with contactless technology. ATMs map is available here;
- Open one of the digital wallets in your smartphone or smartwatch: Apple Wallet, Google Wallet or Garmin;
- Select the card from which you want to withdraw the money;
- Bring the gadget closer to the Contactless symbol on the ATM;
- Select the language and enter the card’s PIN code.
- Follow the steps for standard cash withdrawal.
For security reasons, the activation of a new card and the change of the current PIN code cannot be carried out contactless.
The new functionality is now available for maib cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express).
And remember. You can always use the classic method and insert your bank card into the ATM to withdraw the money.
