From July 1st 2025, following the evolution of the international reference indices EURIBOR 6M and SOFR, the interest rate on mortgage loans in foreign currency granted by maib to individuals will decrease.
From July 1st to December 31, 2025, the value of the reference index will be:
- 2.06% on loans in EUR;
- 4.35% for loans in USD.
You can check how much the interest rate will be with a simple calculation:
Interest rate = reference rate (shown above, depending on the currency of the loan) + bank margin (you will find the figure in the contract).
From July 4th, 2025, the new loan repayment plan will be available in branch and/or on the maibank mobile app.
