INFO-BON has merged with Termoelectrica – Here’s what you need to know

Dear customer,

We’d like to inform you about an important update regarding INFO-BON bill payments in the maibank app.

According to Government Decision No. 422 of June 21, 2024, INFO-BON has been merged into Termoelectrica. Starting from June 4, 2025, all INFO-BON bill payments will be redirected to Termoelectrica (formerly InfoBon).

What this means for you:

• In the self-service terminal and the maibank app, you’ll now find Termoelectrica listed instead of InfoBon.

• Any saved payments or templates previously used for INFO-BON will no longer work.

• Please make your first payment to Termoelectrica via maibank and save it as a New Monthly Payment for future convenience.

• The Termoelectrica provider is not available on the Personal Internet Banking web platform (for individuals).

We recommend using the maibank app – your simple, secure, and always-accessible banking solution.
