Want to become a maib client from abroad? 

You can open a bank account completely online if: 

• you have a valid Moldovan ID card (passport not accepted) 
• you have a smartphone with internet access and camera 
• you have an active international number issued in one of the 31 eligible countries 
• you are physically located in one of these countries at the time of registration 

Once your identity is verified, you’ll get full access to all maibank features — wherever you are. 

Need to update your personal data in maibank? 

This process is also 100% online, and your physical location does not matter. You simply need to: 

• have an active international number issued in one of the 31 eligible countries 
• log into the maibank app and follow the steps in the "Data update" section 

Keeping your data updated is essential for account security and full access to all maib services.
