Maib – an export ambassador for the Republic of Moldova

Maib has been included in the Top 25 Export Ambassadors of Moldova – an initiative organised by Invest Moldova Agency – and is the only bank from the Republic of Moldova featured in the ranking.

For maib, this recognition means more than just a place in a ranking. It is confirmation of the role the bank plays in supporting companies in our country that choose to grow, invest and bring their products and services to international markets.

Over the years, maib has stood alongside entrepreneurs in the Republic of Moldova at various stages of their business development – from investment and the expansion of production capacity to accessing new markets. And for maib, supporting exports means not only providing financial solutions, but also contributing to skills development and preparing companies for international competition.

One example is the maib export school, a programme launched by maib in partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and with the support of the European Union, implemented by Gateway & Partners between November 2025 and May 2026.

The programme was dedicated to strengthening the export capacities of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the Republic of Moldova. Entrepreneurs from sectors such as agriculture, agri-food, manufacturing and services had the opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills needed to expand their businesses beyond the country’s borders.

Behind every exported product or service stand people, investments and years of hard work. And when a Moldovan brand enters an international market, it’s not just a product being exported. It is the quality, creativity, professionalism and ambition of an entire economy that are being taken to the world.

The ‘Top Exporters from Moldova’ initiative, launched by Invest Moldova Agency, identifies and promotes the country’s 25 top-performing exporting companies, helping to promote Moldovan brands and strengthen their visibility in international markets.

For maib, being included in the Top 25 Export Ambassadors of Moldova is a recognition received with pride and, above all, with a sense of responsibility. Because when a Moldovan company enters a new market, it does not just export a product or service. It brings with it the name of Moldova.
