Maib’s Corporate Business Unit serves over 600 corporate customers across Moldova, offering financial solutions to large businesses. In 2024 Corporate Business Unit managed to increase its loan portfolio by 17%, while at the same time achieving a significant decline in non-performing loans. Maib’s corporate banking highlights
Over the past year, maib has continued to innovate and expand its corporate banking services, achieving some key important milestones, including:
- Total corporate loan portfolio exceeded MDL 12 billion in Q2 2025, an all time high, reflecting the growing trust of Moldovan corporate customers.
- Maib provided a EUR 18 million loan for the development of a 50 MW photovoltaic park, supporting Moldova’s energy independence.
- Corporate green loan portfolio continued to expand, reaching 19% of the total corporate investment loans as of end of Q1 2025. In parallel, maib integrated environmental and social risk management in all of its corporate lending.

Maib is the largest bank in Moldova, with a share of 37.3% of deposits and 37.9% of loans of the entire banking system at the end of 1Q 2025.
