Maib promotes inclusion through education: “Learning the Language of Acceptance” – a memorable experience for the children of maib employees

In the spirit of promoting diversity, solidarity, and inclusion, maib, in collaboration with AO “Prietena mea”, organized an educational event for employees’ children aged 8 to 12. Under the theme “Learning the Language of Acceptance”, the event offered children the opportunity to understand, through play and dialogue, the value of acceptance and empathy in a modern and fair society. 

Interactive activities, educational games, and age-appropriate discussions created a warm and friendly environment where children could learn to appreciate differences and view diversity as a valuable resource. 

Doina Fetco, Marketing Director at maib, stated: 

"Children are a reflection of the values we promote as a society. At maib, we take on the role of cultivating, from the earliest ages, principles of respect, empathy, and solidarity. The event ‘Learning the Language of Acceptance’ reflects our desire to promote the language of inclusion, acceptance, and respect for those around us." 

To further reinforce the message of the event, each child received a gift copy of the book “ABC of the Gift of Equality”, an educational tool designed to inspire open-minded thinking and respect for others. 

This initiative is part of maib’s commitment to actively contribute to the development of an organizational and social culture based on respect, equity, and care for people, forming a part of maib’s corporate social responsibility projects. The collaboration between maib and AO “Prietena mea” began earlier, initiated on the occasion of World Down Syndrome Day, symbolically marked by wearing mismatched socks — a gesture meant to raise awareness about the acceptance of those born with an extra chromosome. 

We also note that at the start of the school year, maib joined the campaign “An ABC Gift for a Generation”, organized by AO “Prietena mea”, by purchasing 100 copies of the “ABC of the Gift of Equality”, which will be distributed to educational institutions across the country.
