Moldova Agroindbank, for the second consecutive year, is recognized as the most active bank in facilitating trade

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development's "Most Active Bank of the Trade Facilitation Program (TFP) Award" was presented to Natalia Vrabie, Chair of the Bank's Board of Directors, at a festive ceremony held at the Forum's annual meeting. EBRD 2012, recently held in London.Renowned bankers and finance specialists attended the event, representatives of institutions focused on financing trade in the EBRD region, and the Forum focused on recent trends and developments and prospects for trade facilitation by the banking community.

Commenting on the bank's designation as the most active bank in trade facilitation, the Chairperson of the Management Committee, Natalia Vrabie, expressed her gratitude for the high distinction, describing this event as an appreciation of the EBRD's joint efforts, Moldova Agroindbank, which invested resources considerable financial and intellectual benefits in facilitating trade, as well as the beneficiaries - local companies, which have gained added value in conducting their business.

“Our bank has been able to capitalize on the opportunities offered by the Program to increase trade finance capacity, including through the application of know-how, and taking additional risks, which has expanded the access and flow of financial resources for companies, demonstrating the major importance and in the end, the efficiency of this EBRD instrument", remarked Natalia Vrabie.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development's Trade Facilitation Program (TFP) promotes international and regional activities, including in the EBRD region, to activate and enhance trade efficiency through affordable and efficient financing. Since its inception in 1999, TFP has been one of the success stories of the EBRD's Financial Institutions Department.

The Program has constantly been expanding, reaching new regions, attracting new members and participants, and launching more advanced trade finance products. In 2011, TFP achieved its best performance in terms of turnover and number of transactions since its launch in 1999. More than 100 banks in the region and about 800 banks worldwide participate in the Program.
The bank was awarded the EBRD's TFP Award for the first time in 2010.
