The Banker has designated the Bank of the year 2019 of the Republic of Moldova

The prestigious publication dedicated to the banking industry, the Banker, brought the Moldovan banking sector back to the ranking of the Best Banks after a break of over five years.

MAIB is the only bank in the country included in the international top of the most potent commercial banks this year, being designated "Bank of the year" 2019 in the Republic of Moldova.

The Banker's Board of jurors particularly appreciated that MAIB is "the pioneer of a positively evolving sector".

Also, MAIB's efforts to strengthen AML's anti-money laundering procedures by implementing an internationally recognized system were appreciated, thus positioning the bank as a market leader in AML and compliance aspects.

The award is also awarded as international recognition of MAIB's achievements in the direction of the bank's digital transformation. In the Banker's opinion, "the launch of the MAIBank mobile application is a remarkable achievement". Overall, the banker jurors have emphasized the digital transformation efforts of banks worldwide and how they adapt to the new technological era.

“The return of MAIB to the banker ranking is a success, primarily in the banking sector in the Republic of Moldova.
