Maib clients can now onboard and use the app even from abroad — from the EU and the UK — using an international number, as long as they are citizens of the Republic of Moldova.

The data update process can now be completed entirely online, with no branch visit.
“It’s an important step for account security and full access to maib services. Everything is fast and protected — including for international numbers.”
Smart security, protecting you in real time
Maibank automatically detects unauthorized access attempts.
“The app works like an active protection system. If any program tries to interfere with the phone’s operation, access to the app is temporarily blocked. The client doesn’t need to do anything — protection activates automatically,” Valentina explains.
This technology prevents new forms of digital fraud, especially on Android devices.
Personalization and the digital assistant
Maibank is becoming increasingly personalized — offers, conditions and recommendations are tailored to each individual profile.
“In the past, a pre-approved loan was simply displayed. Now, each client receives a proposal built around their real situation — with the right term, amount and interest rate.”
A new AI-powered chatbot will soon assist users directly in the app:
“The client will no longer need to search for instructions or call the Contact Center — the digital assistant will guide them exactly when they need help.”

“A card is just a tool — the money is in the account,” Valentina explains.
