The story continues in Oxford: maib and Mastercard launch the third edition of maib junior Summer School

What if next summer your child could spend two weeks at an international summer school in Oxford, alongside children from around the world? A chance to explore new subjects, go on exciting trips, make new friends and, perhaps most importantly, discover just how much they can do on their own.

Starting 1 September 2026, maib and Mastercard are launching the third edition of the maib junior Summer School promotion. This time, 5 children will win a two-week Summer School experience at the prestigious Headington Summer School in Oxford, UK, in summer 2027.

At Headington, children will broaden their horizons in a truly international environment. Depending on their interests, they will have the opportunity to explore areas such as entrepreneurship, medicine, science and leadership, improve their English and build friendships that could last a lifetime.

4 stages, 8 months and 5 journeys to Oxford

The promotion runs from 1 September 2026 to 30 April 2027 and is divided into four stages:

• Dream Big
• Create & Discover
• Learn & Grow
• Explore the Future

Each stage reflects a different part of how children discover their interests — from the first dreams and goals of a new school year to creativity, learning and exploring possibilities for the future.

Each stage will have one winner of an Oxford Summer School experience, while Create & Discover doubles the opportunity, with two winners selected during this stage. By the end of the promotion, 5 children will be packing their bags for the UK.

Stage one: Dream Big

The journey begins with the first school bell. From 1 September to 31 October 2026, Dream Big encourages children to dream bigger and imagine where their ambitions could take them.

Alongside the grand prize — a Summer School experience in Oxford — the first stage also brings 8 additional prizes designed to spark curiosity from the very beginning of the school year: instant cameras for capturing memorable moments with friends and telescopes for young explorers who want to look a little further.

How to take part

During the first stage:

• your child makes at least 10 payments with their Mastercard maib junior card;
• each transaction must be at least MDL 50;
• you register your child on the promotion page.

The everyday purchases they already make with maib junior could give them the chance to experience Summer School in Oxford.

From one generation to the next

Maib junior Summer School is now in its third edition. During the first two editions, the winners travelled to Switzerland and the UK, where they studied, met children from different countries and discovered what it is like to spend part of the summer away from their usual routine at home.

In summer 2027, Oxford is next.

And this time, one of those five suitcases could be packed in your home.
